From the series Earth Girl, “Earth Girl 2: Preparing for the Tsunami” is an interactive casual strategy game about making impactful decisions that will directly affect the survival rate of coastal communities during earthquake and tsunami disaster scenarios. This game is commissioned by the Earth Observatory of Singapore, NTU, to educate players on Tsunami related topics. It has since won the Silver Award in the Games for Good category at the Serious Play Conference.

The basic gameplay includes: learning about tsunami hazards by interacting and talking to the people the Market, choosing the correct tools based on a budget, exploring the site and making strategic decisions, and learning from watching the simulation. The player’s level of success in the game is based on the amount of interaction with the virtual community.
